5형식동사는 대표동사들 모두 양면의 성질을 띄고 있어서 다 조심해야함.

1. 사역동사

Make, have, let + o + o.c(원형부정사) à to가 생략된 형태

Get + o + o.c (to부정사), help + o + o.c(to부정사, 원형부정사)

2. 준사역동사

Tell, inform, notify, remind, want, ask, order, adviser, persuade, urge, require, request, invite + o + o.c(to부정사)

3. 지각동사

See, hear, fell, watch, notice + o + o.c(원형부정사, 분사) *notice는 동사(~알아채다)일때만

4. 기타

Enable, encourage, expect, cause, allow + o + o.c(to부정사)

* Enable는 사람주어일 때는 쓸 수 없다.

* 목적어 + 목적보어 만 취할수 있는 5형식동사

Want, tell, persuade, invite, inform, notify, remind, encourage, enable, cause, allow

* tell, persuade, inform, notify, remind 의 경우 that절을 취할수 있으나 뜻이 사역의 의미가 아닌 사실전달의 의미를 가진다.

*둘다 가능한 5형식 동사

지각동사(see, hear, feel, watch, notice), ask, order, advise, urge, require, request, expect

* 목적어와 목적보어가 수동관계일 때

1. have, want, saw + o + (to, to be, being) o.c

2. think, elect, name, call, consider, keep, find, leave, make + o + o.c(명사/형용사)

* 주의 know, understand, choose, believe 는 5형식에서 목적보어 to be생략 불가!!
